After-Class Coding with Kini Robots at MLCP

Join us for an exciting 4-week After-Class Coding program at MLCP, where children will have the opportunity to dive into the world of robotics and programming!

In this interactive series, participants will engage with Kini, an innovative educational robotic platform, designed to inspire and teach the fundamentals of coding. Through hands-on activities, children will learn how to customize and control the Kini robots, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Lesson A: Setup and Introduction to the Kini App
Control the robot manually and read sensors from the dashboard.

Lesson B: Distance Sensor
Make Kini respond to commands depending on its surroundings.

Lesson C: Light Sensors
Understand what a photon is and how light travels using the Kini Light Sensors.

Lesson D: RGB LED
Make Kini change its LED color while dancing to the rhythm of a song.

Lesson E: Line Sensors
Teach Kini how to differentiate colors and surfaces.

Lesson F: Magnet Sensors
See the invisible forces of magnetic fields and how birds navigate with the Kini Magnetometer.

Lesson G: Pitch, yaw, roll sensors
Explore principles of avionics. Learn how accelerometers work with Kini.

Final Project
Combine the lessons learned into a fun final project and explain it to the class.

Please note that the Kini robot is not included in the program fee. However, if your child falls in love with their robotic companion, you have the option to purchase a Kini robot for $199 at the end of the sessions.
